There was one big boom today, when I think they pulled down more than they meant to. But I didn't have my camera.

I had to look for a place to sleep.

They've never done this before.

Buddy took to sleeping in the bathroom sink for two days.

I found an adolescent possum in my kitchen.

I opened the front door and turned out the lights, hoping she’d be brave enough to leave before Buddy came home (though he has no interest in possums, no play value).

Buddy thought a package of books was food.

It sounded like food.

Buddy got home from surgery very groggy.

Buddy continued getting better and better, I saw a Shakespeare play, and for some reason I painted a stop sign.

Buddy got his stitches out, The Stacks had a great weekend, and somebody tried to kill the former President.

Buddy was ready to go out.

He's ready, but I'm not.

Buddy continued to heal after his eye surgery.

He really refused to wear the cone at this point.

Buddy healed after his eye surgery.

He seemed to feel so much better after having his eye removed.

Buddy rested, three days after his eye surgery.

Buddy's acting more like himself, in that he's lying on the bed instead of under it (something he never did before).

Buddy had surgery to remove his left eye and to remove melanoma from his right eye.

It was a scary and sad time but he'll be all right.

Buddy was stoic.

We waited for his planned eye surgery.

Buddy has glaucoma and melanoma in his eyes, but he'll be okay.

Close to a month after I took this picture, Buddy got a diagnosis. He has glaucoma in his left eye (the one to the viewer's right).

Buddy and Otter watched out for me.

Buddy has already accepted that whatever happens is fate. Otter, on the other hand, never learns anything.
