The up: Buddy jumped up into his “nest”, an old Litter Genie where I keep moving blankets and dropcloths. (It was never used for cat litter, by the way, I bought it for Sally but she disappeared a day or so later, before I ever filled it up. It makes me sad when I think about it, actually.) I didn’t think Buddy could still jump up there, it’s pretty high, two high jumps from the floor.
Unfortunately, while he was up there, he did some overzealous grooming and licked his wound more than I’d like. So I had to put the cone back on. He got it off last Tuesday, but he didn’t lick his wound, so the ve said it was okay to leave it off. But now he needs it again. It makes him so dejected, and if the cone bumps into anything his mind short-circuits. He’ll just stand there until you redirect him.
Still, it’s helping him. He doesn’t fight me over it.

Oh Buddy! I make a potion called Boo boo spray. It is half calendula tincture and half aloe verajuice or gel, as pure as i can find, refrigerated in a spray bottle. Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and promotes skin healing. Shake well. I used to find it at retail natural food/pet stores, the co op.... but now I just make it. Best to Buddy and you!
