Today I Learned there are three candidates in the Louisiana Democratic primary for U.S. Senate race.

The election is tomorrow.

Today I Learned that there are THREE candidates running in tomorrow's Democratic primary for U.S.Senate, not just Jamie Davis, who I get many, many texts from. (Did you know he is a farmer? I sure do.)

Anyway, the other two are Gary Crockett and Nick Albares.

I heard all three of them speak today, in a brief debate on the Jim Engster show on WWNO. (The show has a name, but its something like "Louisiana Politics"; in short, I can't remember it.)

All of them said things I agreed with, in fact any one of them would be an acceptable candidate for the primary.

Davis was fine, he loves to talk about how he's a farmer, and I'm happy for him. I don't see how that helps you and me.
His heart and politics are in the right place and if he's the nominee, I'll support him.

Crockett I really liked, for not mincing words about how the Felon needs to go, and how the Republican bootlickers in Congress and elsewhere inexplicably keep enabling him. I think he would be a great candidate. He served in the military for 28 years, and he pointed out "I have more experience than Pete Hegseth."

Albares was the best speaker in this half-hour debate, and I'm disappointed in the Louisiana Democrats that I hadn't even heard of him. (But when are we not disappointed in the Louisiana Democrats?) He was a policy aide in the John Bel Edwards administration, and it's clear he knows about Louisiana politics and national politics. I think I'm going to vote for him in the primary tomorrow.

I guess it doesn't hurt that he looks kinda like Mamdani. We could use a Mamdani.
