This dude looked a tiny (tiny!) bit like ol’ Garrison Keillor, but his show is or was called The Writer’s Almanac.
The Reading Life is the Susan Larson show on WWNO. The one with the insufferable tuba-based theme music. I often liked the show but I won’t miss that. (I’m sure the musicians who played it are wonderful people. The music is good, it’s just…I don’t like it. It’s a “me” thing.) The theme from “Out To Lunch”, WWNO’s silly business roundtable, is equally competent, I just find it condescending and there’s no way I can explain it.
Anyway, it’s a daily drawing, something I haven’t even found time for in recent days.
