I saw Chef Menteur, Spaghetti Heist, and Brewing Means at Holy Diver.
. Day .

Very good, very late show from Chef Menteur to a loyal crowd. I particularly liked one song that sounded like Bo Diddley, and another song I can only describe as Chef Menteur's love ballad.

Preceding the Chefs was another food-related group, Spaghetti Heist. Excellent stuff. All instrumental, and all covers, which was a surprise to me. It's all European movie music that I guess I haven't heard. Former Stack Paul Grass played an "Electronic Wind Instrument" or an "EWI" (ee-wee). A bizarre but cool-looking and sounding instrument.
Sorry, I forgot to take any pictures of drink-related combo Brewing Means. We definitely talked about them a lot, particularly that one of their songs harkened back to Peter Frampton's "Show Me The Way". I mean that in a good way.
At one point in the evening I was standing between two of my exes, thinking about how here I was with two of the women I have liked best in the world, yet I'm not part of their world anymore, unless you count being at the same bar at the same time. But I guess that's what going to rock shows in your fifties is all about.
